HEJIN GROUP (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD in Gelang Patah, Johor, is seeking a Purchasing Executive for full-time procurement support in PCB assembly operations. You will source components, materials, and indirect purchases, coordinating with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Quality and Shipping to ensure timely material availability at competitive costs.

The role emphasizes supplier evaluation, PO management, and ongoing cost-reduction opportunities within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
• 2-3 years of purchasing/procurement or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of procurement practices, vendor management and inventory control.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and experience with purchasing/ERP systems.
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to maintain supplier relationships.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple purchase orders and meet deadlines.
• Good communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a plus for overseas suppliers.
• Experience in electronics EMS/PCBA manufacturing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders with clear specifications, quantities and delivery terms.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and commercial agreements with suppliers.
• Coordinate material delivery schedules with production planning and customer requirements.
• Monitor supplier lead times and expedite urgent deliveries to avoid production interruptions.
• Evaluate supplier performance on quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness.
• Track purchase orders and reconcile invoices, delivery orders and related documents.
• Maintain close liaison with Warehouse to optimize inventory levels.
• Generate regular procurement reports and identify cost-reduction opportunities.

About the role

We are seeking a Purchasing Executive to join HEJIN GROUP (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD in Gelang Patah, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our supply chain operations. As a Purchasing Executive, you will be responsible for sourcing electronic components, production materials, packaging materials, and indirect purchases to support our PCBA manufacturing operations. You will work closely with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Quality and Shipping teams to ensure the timely availability of materials while maintaining competitive costs, supplier performance and product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Source electronic components, PCB materials, consumables, tooling and indirect materials.

• Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring all specifications, quantities, and delivery terms are clearly documented
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and commercial agreements with suppliers to achieve optimal value for money
• Coordinate material delivery schedules according to production planning and customer requirements.
• Monitor supplier lead times and expedite urgent deliveries to prevent production interruptions.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness, and maintain strong supplier relationships.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures and relevant requirements.

What we’re looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce or related field
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, vendor management and inventory control
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience with purchasing or ERP systems
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain positive supplier relationships
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple purchase orders simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Good communication and interpersonal skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese will be an added advantage to communicate with suppliers overseas.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing (EMS), PCBA or industrial manufacturing will be an added advantage.
