Contacthings, located in Penang, is seeking a dedicated procurement manager to oversee sourcing and procurement activities. Your role will focus on ensuring timely delivery and compliance with production requirements in the semiconductor industry.

The ideal candidate has a background in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering, along with 1–3 years of relevant experience. Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail are essential, along with a proactive attitude and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications

• SPM/Diploma/Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• Preferably 1–3 years experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or trading environment is an advantage.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
• Good attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple purchase orders efficiently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email communication.
• Independent, responsible, and proactive working attitude.

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate the best pricing, payment terms, and freight terms with local and overseas suppliers.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing records, supplier data, and documentation in the system.
• Ensure suppliers meet required lead times, delivery schedules, and operational expectations.
• Prepare, issue, and process purchase orders promptly and accurately.
• Follow up closely on incoming parts, quantities, and shipment status to ensure on-time delivery.
