Jora Malaysia is seeking a results-driven Factory Sourcing & Development Manager based in Johor Bahru. You will identify and engage manufacturing factories in JB and surrounding areas, build a pipeline of partners, and ensure quality and reliability to support ongoing projects.
The role requires 3+ years in panel/building materials in Malaysia, strong negotiation, regulatory knowledge, and fluency in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin.

At least 3 years of experience in the panel / building materials industry in Malaysia, with good knowledge of the factory landscape in Johor Bahru.
Experience in factory sourcing, supplier development, or factory partnership management is highly preferred.
Good knowledge of local building materials regulations and environmental requirements.
Familiarity with panel-related technical standards, pricing, factory evaluation, negotiation, and quality control.
Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and market analysis skills.
Strong execution, teamwork, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin, with good written communication skills.
Able to prepare cooperation agreements, business reports, and other relevant documentation.
Legally eligible to work in Malaysia and able to be based permanently in Johor Bahru.
Familiar with the local geographical area and comfortable with frequent factory visits and occasional business travel.
Willing to work overtime when required and able to adapt to a fast-paced, field-oriented working environment.

Factory Sourcing & Development
Identify and source suitable manufacturing factories in Johor Bahru and surrounding areas based on company requirements.
Build and maintain a pipeline of potential factory partners.
Evaluate and select reliable and capable manufacturing partners.
Partnership Negotiation
Communicate and negotiate with potential factory partners on cooperation terms, quality standards, pricing, and other commercial requirements.
Assist with factory qualification and due diligence processes.
Follow up on cooperation agreements and contract signing.
Factory & Production Management
Monitor the overall production process of partner factories and follow up on production schedules.
Address issues such as production delays, quality problems, and other operational concerns.
Conduct regular factory visits and maintain updated factory management records.
Communication & Relationship Management
Act as the key liaison between the company and partner factories.
Coordinate requirements between internal teams and factories.
Maintain strong supplier relationships and explore opportunities for deeper cooperation.
Market & Industry Research
Monitor developments, policies, regulations, and technology trends within the local panel and building materials industry.
Collect and analyze market intelligence and assess the strengths and weaknesses of potential factory partners.
Provide market insights and recommendations to support business strategy.
Quality Control
Assist in establishing and improving quality control processes with partner factories.
Follow up on quality inspections and corrective actions.
Address quality issues and disputes to minimize cooperation risks.
Reporting & Data Management
Maintain and analyze data related to partner factories.
Prepare regular reports, work summaries, and business analysis.
Assist the finance team with cost verification and settlement.
