Job summary

Globus Castors (M) Sdn Bhd in Kedah is seeking an experienced Production/Manufacturing Manager to lead daily operations and ensure targets are met.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong knowledge of production planning, quality control, inventory management, and process improvements, with the ability to communicate in Mandarin/Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia. English is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in production or manufacturing management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily production activities to ensure production targets and schedules are achieved.
• Plan production schedules, manpower requirements, materials, and production resources.
• Monitor production output, productivity, efficiency, and operating costs.
• Ensure products are manufactured according to required specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Warehouse, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Identify production problems, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor machinery, equipment, tools, and production facilities to ensure proper maintenance.
• Establish and improve production processes, workflows, and SOPs.
• Ensure production activities comply with company policies, safety requirements, and relevant regulations.
• Lead, train, motivate, and evaluate production staff.
• Manage manpower allocation, attendance, discipline, and overall team performance.
• Monitor inventory and raw material usage to minimize wastage and unnecessary costs.
• Prepare production reports and provide regular updates to management.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, cost efficiency, and production lead time.
• Support management in implementing new projects, machinery, processes, and operational improvements.
• Perform other production and operational duties as assigned by management.
