Job summary

SHB Malaysia Automotive Appliance Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage sourcing, supplier development, and procurement for production materials, focusing on local Malaysian suppliers, cost efficiency, and stable material supply.

You will evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, track performance, and drive cost savings. Join a global automotive group and collaborate with China HQ and internal teams to ensure quality and timely delivery, while expanding exposure to international

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in supply chain, purchasing, procurement, logistics, business, engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years of purchasing/procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Fluent in Mandarin (written & spoken), English, and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and MS Office with strong purchasing process knowledge.
• Strong negotiation, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supplier Sourcing & Development: Identify, evaluate, and develop Malaysian suppliers for direct materials and production components.
• Procurement Execution: Manage quotations, price comparisons, negotiations, PO issuance, delivery tracking, and material follow-up.
• Supplier Management: Monitor supplier performance and coordinate corrective actions.
• Cost Control & Analysis: Conduct price comparisons, market research, and supplier negotiations to reduce costs.
• Quality & Documentation Management: Coordinate supplier quality and maintain records and monthly reports.

As a Purchasing Executive, you will manage sourcing, supplier development, and procurement activities for production materials and components, with a focus on local Malaysian suppliers, cost efficiency, and stable material supply.

Job Responsibilities

1. Supplier Sourcing & Development: Identify, evaluate, and develop Malaysian suppliers for direct materials and production components based on company requirements.
2. Procurement Execution: Handle quotation, price comparison, negotiation, purchase order (PO) issuance, delivery tracking, and material supply follow-up.
3. Supplier Management: Monitor supplier performance in quality, cost, delivery, and service, and coordinate corrective actions to maintain reliable supplier relationships.
4. Cost Control & Analysis: Conduct price comparison, cost analysis, market research, and supplier negotiation to support cost reduction and improve purchasing efficiency.
5. Quality & Documentation Management: Coordinate supplier quality and delivery issues while maintaining supplier records, purchasing documents, invoices, reconciliation, and monthly reports.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Procurement, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Fluent in Mandarin (written & spoken), English, and Bahasa Malaysia to communicate effectively with China HQ, local suppliers, and internal departments.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with good knowledge of purchasing and supplier management processes.
• Strong negotiation, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
