Job summary

Deer Smart Technologies in Malaysia is seeking a Purchasing Engineer to support procurement for data center construction projects. You will source suppliers, request quotations, issue purchase orders, and ensure on-time delivery of materials and equipment.

The role requires a diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Mechanical, Electrical, or related fields, plus at least three years of engineering or construction procurement experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in engineering or construction projects.
• Experience in MEP, HVAC, Fire Protection, Data Center, or Industrial Construction is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities based on project schedules and budgets.
• Source suppliers, request quotations, compare prices, and negotiate costs.
• Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

What You Will Do

What We're Looking For

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 yearsof procurement experience in engineering or construction projects.
• Experience in MEP, HVAC, Fire Protection, Data Center, or Industrial Constructionis an advantage.
• Good negotiation, communication, and cost control skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of engineering materials and procurement processes.
• Familiarity with CIDB, SIRIM, and STrequirements is an added advantage.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Male candidates who can speak Mandarin are preferred.
