Randstad Malaysia is seeking a highly organized Purchaser to manage sourcing, procurement, and supplier relationships for construction materials and services in Kuala Lumpur. This role emphasizes timely procurement, cost optimization, and compliance with internal processes.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of purchasing experience in construction-related sectors, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. This full-time position reports to the Purchasing Manager.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field.
• 2–4 years of purchasing or material sourcing experience, preferably within construction/engineering/hardware trading.
• Strong negotiation, attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work under tight project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing & RFQs: Source reliable suppliers, issue RFQs, and compile price comparison sheets.
• Negotiation & Cost Control: Negotiate prices, credit terms, and delivery schedules to maximize cost savings.
• PO Administration: Generate and issue Purchase Orders accurately in internal systems.
• Delivery & Logistics Coordination: Track delivery timelines with site supervisors and project managers.
• Invoice Verification: Match DOs and invoices against POs to resolve discrepancies.
• Vendor Relationship Management: Maintain an updated database of suppliers and subcontractors.

• PO Administration: Generate and issue Purchase Orders (POs) accurately using internal systems, ensuring all terms and conditions are clearly stated.
• Delivery & Logistics Coordination: Coordinate closely with site supervisors and project managers to track delivery timelines and ensure materials arrive on site exactly when needed.
• Invoice Verification: Match delivery orders (DOs) and invoices against POs to resolve any discrepancies in quantity or pricing before passing to the accounts team.
• Vendor Relationship Management: Maintain and evaluate an updated database of approved suppliers and subcontractors based on performance, reliability, and price
