Job summary

THE LIVING DEPOT (PUCHONG) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support procurement operations in our manufacturing, transport and logistics environment in Puchong, Selangor.

This full-time role focuses on processing purchase orders, maintaining records and helping optimise costs while ensuring timely deliveries and smooth supplier coordination. You will liaise with vendors to obtain quotations, assist with invoices and procurement documentation, and support inventory control.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least SPM / STPM / Diploma or higher education in any field.
• At least 1 year working experience in related field is required for this position.
• Able to work independently and self-motivated.
• Chinese-speaking candidates are preferred.
• Required skills: Ms Excel

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and processing of purchase orders and requisitions
• Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and monitoring stock movements
• Supporting the coordination of deliveries and ensuring goods are received in accordance with purchase orders
• Liaising with suppliers to obtain quotations, product information and delivery schedules
• Assisting in the organisation and filing of procurement documentation and contracts
• Performing data entry tasks related to purchasing and inventory systems
• Supporting the verification of invoices and ensuring accuracy of purchase records
• Assisting with the identification of cost-saving opportunities and supplier performance evaluation
• Responding to internal enquiries regarding order status and availability of materials
• Supporting the purchasing team with administrative duties and special projects as required

About the role

We are seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join THE LIVING DEPOT (PUCHONG) SDN. BHD. in Puchong, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting our procurement operations and ensuring the efficient flow of materials and supplies throughout our organisation. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will be instrumental in maintaining our supply chain effectiveness, managing vendor relationships, and contributing to cost optimisation across the business. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in procurement and inventory management within a dynamic manufacturing, transport and logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and processing of purchase orders and requisitions
