Job summary

About the role

SQA Builders Sdn Bhd is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Protégie Site Supervisor to join our growing civil and structural engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Selangor, designed for ambitious professionals looking to develop their expertise in site supervision and construction management. As a Protégie Site Supervisor, you will work under the mentorship of experienced supervisors whilst progressively taking on greater responsibility for day-to-day site operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that our construction projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards, whilst you build your professional foundation in the construction industry.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision and coordination of on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety regulations
• Monitor daily progress of construction work and report to senior site management on project status and any issues requiring attention
• Coordinate with site workers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow and timely material delivery
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship quality and adherence to design standards and safety protocols
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, progress reports, photographs and inspection checklists
• Assist in the implementation and enforcement of health, safety and environmental procedures across the site
• Support the management of site resources, including equipment, materials and personnel
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers and other stakeholders to address concerns and ensure project objectives are met
• Participate in site meetings and toolbox talks to communicate project updates and safety briefings
• Learn and develop knowledge in construction methodologies, project management and industry best practices under senior supervision

What we're looking for

• Degree in Civil Engineering, or a related construction discipline
• Strong understanding of construction processes, building materials and safety standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards on site
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with construction management software
• A proactive attitude and genuine interest in developing a career in site supervision and construction management
• Ability to work collaboratively whilst also demonstrating independent initiative
• Languages required: Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Knowledge of Mandarin is of added advantage.
