Job summary

Hua Yang Berhad is seeking an Accounts Executive (GL) to join our finance team in Shah Alam. You will prepare monthly management accounts, perform reconciliations, and handle invoices, tax filings and year-end closing. The role focuses on property development projects and requires attention to detail and independence.

The position offers a fixed-term contract and on-site work at Hua Yang Berhad HQ. Candidates with ACCA/CPA/CIMA or IFCA experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant working experience in a similar capacity within the Property Development industry.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an added advantage.
• Proficient in accounting software; experience with IFCA is highly preferred.
• Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• This position is offered on a Fixed-Term contract basis, subject to the agreed contract duration and terms.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and relevant accounting reports.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure discrepancies are identified, investigated and resolved promptly.
• Process and verify invoices, payment vouchers, receipts and other accounting documents accurately and within the required timeline.
• Prepare and compile relevant financial information and supporting documents for tax computation and tax filing purposes.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure accounting records are complete and accurate.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers and relevant authorities on audit, taxation, statutory compliance and banking matters.
• Maintain proper accounting records, documentation and filing of financial documents for audit and reference purposes.
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining accounting records relating to property development projects.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, procedures and applicable accounting standards.
• Perform other ad hoc accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by the superior.
