Job summary

Hua Yang Berhad, a prominent Malaysian property developer established in 1978, is seeking an Assistant Manager, Accounts (Property Developer) to lead the accounts team in Batu Caves. You will manage consolidation, project costing, and financial reporting in line with MFRS, while ensuring robust internal controls and timely statutory compliance.

The role requires 5+ years in property development, hands-on consolidation experience, and proficiency with IFCA or similar accounting software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) or MIA membership is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in property development.
• External audit experience is a plus.
• Hands-on experience in Group Consolidation, including consolidation statements.
• Strong understanding of project accounting and MFRS reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely and accurate monthly consolidated accounts and financial reports.
• Manage all financial functions including preparation of financial statements, management reports, budgets, project costing, and financial analysis per MFRS and statutory requirements.
• Assist in preparation and monitoring of group and project budgets with variance analysis.
• Oversee cash flow, working capital management, and financing needs including bank liaison.
• Supervise day-to-day Accounts Department operations and staff.
• Maintain relationships with auditors, tax agents, bankers, lawyers, and regulatory authorities; coordinate with internal departments.
• Review and improve accounts and finance processes; implement internal controls, policies, and procedures.
