Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Site Operations Manager to oversee daily site operations, staffing, and safety compliance across the site in Malaysia. You will coordinate activities with supervisors, technicians, contractors, and suppliers, ensure maintenance and utilities run smoothly, and uphold strong safety culture.
Responsibilities include supervising personnel, planning manpower, tracking progress, addressing issues, and maintaining records.

Manage and coordinate the daily operations and activities across the site.
Ensure the site is properly staffed, organized, and operational at all times.
Conduct daily site inspections and identify operational issues, safety concerns, and maintenance requirements.
Monitor site conditions and ensure facilities, equipment, utilities, and common areas remain functional and well maintained.
Coordinate daily work activities with supervisors, technicians, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, foreigner workers, and other site personnel.
Ensure work is completed according to agreed schedules, priorities, and operational requirements.
Respond promptly to operational issues, emergencies, breakdowns, and unexpected site conditions.
Maintain clear records of daily activities, incidents, inspections, maintenance, and outstanding issues.
Supervise and lead site operations personnel, supervisors, technicians, cleaners, security personnel, and other support teams as applicable.
Prepare and monitor manpower schedules, shift arrangements, attendance, and work assignments.
Allocate resources according to operational priorities and workload.
Conduct regular toolbox meetings, briefings, and operational meetings.
Promote teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and a strong safety culture.
Coordinate and monitor contractors and subcontractors working on site.
Ensure contractors comply with site rules, safety requirements, work procedures, and approved schedules.
Review work progress and quality and address delays, defects, or non-compliance.
Coordinate permits, access requirements, work areas, deliveries, and site logistics.
Verify completed works and assist with contractor performance evaluations.
Escalate significant contractor performance or compliance issues to management.
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities across the site.
Ensure critical building systems, equipment, utilities, and infrastructure are maintained in good working condition.
Monitor maintenance schedules and ensure planned maintenance is completed on time.
Coordinate responses to equipment breakdowns and facility-related emergencies.
Follow up on outstanding defects, repairs, and maintenance issues until closure.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and service reports.
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, site efficiency, and operating costs.
Maintain appropriate records of visitors, contractors, deliveries, and site movements where required.
Develop daily and weekly operational plans based on site requirements and priorities.
Coordinate multiple activities to minimize disruption to site operations.
Plan work around client requirements, scheduled maintenance, construction activities, deliveries, and site events.
Monitor operational performance against agreed targets and service levels.
Identify operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
Coordinate with management and relevant departments on upcoming operational requirements.
Prepare and maintain accurate daily, weekly, monthly operational documents, reports and records.
Track site incidents, breakdowns, maintenance activities, manpower, contractor performance, and outstanding issues.
Monitor operational expenses and ensure resources are used efficiently.
Control overtime, materials, consumables, equipment, and contractor costs where applicable.
Ensure company assets, equipment, and materials are properly managed and protected.
Perform additional/other duties as assigned by the Head of Department (HOD) or Senior Management.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate MUST possess at least Diploma / Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree / Post Graduate Diploma / Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil), Engineering, M&E, Building Management, Construction Management, Facilities Management, (Others) or a related field.
At least 8 years & above experience as a Site Operations or similar role in the construction industry, and MUST possession of a CIDB Green Card. Preferably with supervisory or managerial responsibility.
Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials and equipment.
Able to work independently, Leadership and management skills to lead group of technical staff and worker, ability to follow up on project schedules,
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic reporting or documentation systems.
Strong knowledge of daily site operations, facilities maintenance, contractor management, and workplace safety.
Experience managing site personnel and multiple contractors, service providers, suppliers, and local authorities
Excellent leadership, analytical thinking, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills with the ability to planning, prioritize, and deliver under tight deadlines.
Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and execution skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
Working hours: Monday – Friday (9:00am to 6:00pm). Saturday (9.00am to 1.00pm).
