Modern Smart Design Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site Supervisor to coordinate and supervise commercial interior fit-out projects from start to finish in Malaysia. You will manage schedule, subcontractors, and quality to ensure timely delivery and compliance with drawings.

The role offers a competitive RM3,500–RM4,500 salary, performance bonus, and opportunities for training and career growth within a fast-growing design & build company.

Modern Smart Design (MSD) is a leading commercial interior design & build company specialising in healthcare, corporate offices, F&B and retail projects across Malaysia.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate and manage project site activities from commencement to completion.

Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and installation schedules to ensure smooth site operations.

Supervise renovation, fit-out and interior works to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications.

Monitor project progress and ensure works are completed within the approved schedule.

Inspect site quality and resolve technical or construction issues promptly.

Understand and interpret construction drawings including:

2D Drawings

3D Perspective Drawings

Furniture Layout Plans

Detailed Construction Drawings

Coordinate closely with interior designers, project managers, clients and subcontractors to ensure timely project execution.

Provide regular site progress updates and reports to the Project Manager and clients.

Verify site measurements, workmanship and material installation.

Ensure proper housekeeping and compliance with workplace safety requirements.

Proactively identify project risks and recommend practical solutions to minimize delays.

Requirements

Minimum Vocational Certificate, SKM, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Interior Design, Building, Construction, Architecture or related fields.

Minimum 1 years' experience in interior fit-out or renovation projects is preferred.

Knowledge of interior finishing materials and construction methods.

Able to read and interpret construction drawings accurately.

Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.

Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with designers and project teams.

Possess own transport and a valid driving license.
