Job summary

DAA Design Associates Sdn Bhd is seeking a Design Consultant / Sales Designer to collaborate with clients, consultants and project teams from concept to completion.

You will develop design proposals, conduct client consultations, coordinate requirements, and support project delivery, including on-site coordination and cost considerations. Strong communication and design software skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, Construction, or related fields.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in interior design, sales, project coordination, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Client Consultation & Design Proposal: Work with clients to understand design needs, style preferences, budgets, and goals.
• Develop and present design proposals that align with client requirements and company standards.
• Participate in project discussions, design decisions, and client presentations.
• Coordinate with Design Team on design development, space planning, materials, and finishes.
• Review and refine design proposals based on client feedback and project requirements.
• Ensure design concepts align with the overall project vision.
• Assist and manage project timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
• Coordinate with the Project Cost Department on quotations, project costing, and budget requirements.

We are looking for a passionate, proactive, and detail-oriented Design Consultant / Sales Designer to work closely with clients, consultants, and project teams. You will be responsible for developing design proposals, handling client consultations, coordinating project requirements, and supporting project delivery from concept to completion. Working under the guidance of a Project Consultant, you will gain hands-on experience in client communication, design development, project costing, and project coordination. Job Responsibilities:

Client Consultation & Design Proposal

Work closely with clients to understand their design needs, style preferences, budgets, and project goals.

Develop and present design proposals that align with client requirements and company standards.

Participate in project discussions, design decisions, and client presentations.

Work closely with the Design Team on design development, space planning, materials, and finishes.

Review and refine design proposals based on client feedback and project requirements.

Ensure design concepts and material selections align with the overall project vision.

Adhere to ad hoc tasks as and when necessary or directed by superior.

Project Coordination & Client Communication

Assist and managing project timelines, budgets, and client expectations.

Coordinate with the Project Cost Department on quotations, project costing, and budget requirements.

Communicate design concepts and project proposals effectively to clients and adjust based on feedback.

Follow up on project progress and ensure client requirements are properly communicated to relevant departments.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project coordination and client satisfaction.

Construction Coordination & Execution Oversight

Work closely with the Project Implementation Department to ensure project requirements and design intentions are accurately executed on-site.

Attend site visits, project meetings, and inspections to monitor construction progress and quality.

Identify potential design or execution issues and coordinate solutions with relevant teams.

Support the Project Consultant throughout the project lifecycle, from initial consultation and design development to construction and completion.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, Construction, or related fields.

Minimum 1 year of experience in interior design, sales, project coordination, or related fields.

Experience in residential or commercial design projects is a plus.

Good understanding of design concepts, space planning, materials, and finishes.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with confidence in handling clients.

Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal project teams.

Passionate about design, client engagement, and project management.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive working attitude.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Willingness to attend client meetings and site visits when required.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other relevant design software is an advantage.
