Job summary

I DESIGN & BUILD SDN BHD in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction projects from planning to handover. The role requires delivering on schedule, within budget, and in line with quality and safety standards.

You will coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors; manage schedules and costs; review specifications; monitor progress; and ensure compliance with regulations. A degree or diploma in Civil/Construction Management and 3–5 years of experience are

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project management within construction or interior fit-out.
• Proven experience in managing construction projects from planning through completion.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, technical drawings and site operations.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and time management skills.
• Ability to coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers and project teams effectively.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure smooth project operations.
• Monitor daily project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Supervise site activities and ensure works align with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor project costs, resource allocation, and subcontractor performance to ensure efficiency.
• Attend project meetings, site inspections, and provide regular progress updates to management and clients.
• Ensure compliance with construction regulations, workplace safety requirements, and company procedures.
• Resolve project-related issues and coordinate with relevant parties to minimize disruptions.
• Ensure timely project completion, proper documentation, and smooth project handover.

Job description

As a Project Manager at I DESIGN & BUILD SDN BHD, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating construction projects from planning to completion. This full-time position is based in Kuala Lumpur, where you will ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards.

What you'll be doing

Plan, coordinate, and manage assigned construction projects, including project schedules, budgets, and resources.

Review project requirements, contractual terms, and specifications to ensure proper project execution.

Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure smooth project operations.

What we’re looking for

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project management within the construction or interior fit-out industry.

Proven experience in managing construction projects from planning through completion.

Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, technical drawings, and site operations.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.

Ability to coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams effectively.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.

Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Good communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Ability to work independently, manage project deadlines, and perform well under pressure.

Proficiency in Mandarin and English is preferred.
