Job summary

Bina Schedulers in Kulim, Kedah is seeking a Project Scheduler to develop and manage master schedules for complex projects using Primavera P6 and MS Project. You will work on WBS, EPCC phases, and milestone planning while coordinating resources and cost allocations to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires at least 3 years in project planning, with exposure to data centre/rail/metro/LRT/MRT and road projects. Strong MS Office skills and CPM experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Professional Degree in an engineering field required.
• At least 3 years of related planning experience in engineering projects.
• Experience in planning data centres, rail, metro, LRT/MRT, or road projects preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of Primavera (P6) and MS Project.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project master schedules aligned with proposals and project requirements.
• Create WBS and identify EPCC phases, deliverables, tasks and milestones.
• Plan resources and cost allocations; sequence activities.
• Implement schedules and monitor progress; produce daily/weekly/monthly tracking reports.
• Identify and develop mitigation plans and recovery schedules.
• Perform progress monitoring and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Conduct CPM analysis and resource/cost analysis.
• Develop control documents (histograms, schedules, reporting systems, materials controls).
• Ensure documentation and filing of progress records; liaise with departments to complete deliverables.
• Take on additional duties as directed by supervisor.

• Developing a project master schedule in line with the proposal/project requirements in Primavera P6 software & MS Project.
• Knowledge on developing Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Identifying EPCC Phases, Project deliverables, required tasks & Project Milestones.
• Working knowledge on Project resource planning, resource & cost allocations and activity sequencing.
• Implement the work schedule and monitor progress of the work in accordance with the schedule and produce tracking charts in daily/weekly/monthly reports.
• Identify, propose and develop mitigation plans and recovery schedules.
• Able to perform progress monitoring of specific projects on a regular basis; and subsequently anticipate and resolve any problems, bottlenecks/scheduling conflicts.
• Able to perform Project CPM analysis and Project Resource/Cost analysis.
• Able to develop project control documents according to industry standards such as resources histogram, schedules, reporting systems, material controls systems, etc.
• Ensure proper documentations & filing of progress records.
• Liaising with other relevant departments in a project to complete Project Control deliverables
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as and when directed by the Superior.

Requirements;

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, Engineering (Civil), or equivalent.
• At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position and at least 2 or 3 years in Planning.
• Experience in planning of engineering projects – Data Centre/Rail/Metro/LRT/MRT and Road
• Extensive knowledge of the software tools Primavera (P6) and MS Project
• Extensive knowledge of MS Office software i.e. Excel, Word, Power point
