Job summary

LanTro (M) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Project Planner in Kuala Lumpur to lead detailed planning and scheduling for construction projects.

You will develop plans, monitor milestones, and ensure alignment with clients and contractors, using Primavera P6 and standard PM tools. The role requires hands-on Primavera P6 experience, a diploma in construction-related fields, and strong organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans with tasks, timelines and resources.
• Create and monitor schedules using Primavera P6 to ensure on-time delivery.
• Track milestones, progress and deadlines; adjust plans as needed.
• Monitor budgets and resources to stay within the financial plan.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams.
• Identify risks and propose contingency actions to avoid delays.
• Analyze data and progress reports to improve efficiency.
• Prepare project records, schedules, and planning documents.
• Support forecasting, planning updates and performance tracking.

• Develop detailed project plans, including tasks, timelines, manpower, resources, and project schedules to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare, update, and monitor project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Track project milestones, progress, and deadlines, and adjust plans where necessary to ensure timely project completion.
• Monitor project budgets and resources to ensure the project remains within the approved financial plan.
• Coordinate closely with internal teams, clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of project goals and timelines.
• Identify potential project risks, delays, and challenges, and propose suitable contingency plans or corrective actions.
• Analyze project data, progress reports, and trends to support decision-making and improve project efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain accurate project records, schedules, progress reports, planning documents, and related documentation.
• Support management in project forecasting, planning updates, and performance tracking.
• Perform any other project planning or coordination duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have hands-on experience in Primavera P6.
• Must have working experience in the construction industry.
• Minimum Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Proficient in project management tools and software.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
• Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, forecast project progress, and identify potential delays.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Highly motivated, well-organized, result-driven, and able to work independently.
• Able to work under minimal supervision and deliver results within tight deadlines.
