Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Construction Scheduler to develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 across design, procurement, construction, installation, testing and commissioning.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 3 years of scheduling experience, with hands-on Primavera P6 and familiarity with complex high-tech construction projects. On-site work in Bayan Lepas, Penang is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction planning/scheduling.
• Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 is mandatory.
• Experience in Design & Build construction projects preferred.
• Experience in high-tech construction projects (semiconductor/cleanroom/data centre) an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, critical path, and progress monitoring.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel.
• Understand construction drawings, specs, and site activities.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and travel when required.

• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare baseline programmes, detailed project schedules, look-ahead schedules, and recovery programmes.
• Monitor progress against the approved programme, identify delays and schedule risks.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, construction teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure proper scheduling.
• Develop schedules covering design, procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Monitor milestones, critical path, and overall schedule performance.
• Collect and verify progress information from site teams for regular updates.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, schedule updates, and narratives.
• Identify constraints and potential impacts; work on mitigation and recovery plans.
• Review subcontractor programmes to align with the overall schedule.

Review and monitor subcontractor programmes to ensure alignment with the overall project schedule.

Support the project team in assessing the schedule impact of variations, design changes, delays, and other project issues.

Maintain proper planning and scheduling records and provide timely reports to project management.

Support project management in achieving project milestones and timely project completion.

• Experienced in preparing baseline programmes, look-ahead schedules, recovery schedules, and progress reports.

• Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel.

• Good understanding of construction drawings, project specifications, and site activities.

• Strong analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced Design & Build construction environment.

• Willing to work on project sites and travel when required.
