The DC Project Director is responsible to:-
Project Management:
- Provide directions to the operations, administration, procurement, and logistics execution and supervision for the project team.
- Final Inspect for DC project builds, incl. but not limited to architectural design, support, M&E, IT infra, etc. and ensures smooth handover and operational efficiency delivery to clients.
- Ensures compliance to and fulfillment of project contractual technical specifications, commercial terms, and conditions.
- Ensures achievement of profit margin forecast for assigned projects.
- Review contracts to determine the documentation requirements and coordinates with the respective team members to prepare project documentation as per quality standards and ensures customer contract requirements are met.
- Upfront participation with sales team in project proposal stage.
- Responsible for project status, performance and forecasting reporting to internal and external customers throughout the execution phases of projects.
- Measures project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
- Oversee risk management activities to minimize project risks.
- Partner with different disciplines to deliver projects.
- Collaborate with the sales team during the project proposal stage.
Operations:
- Rationally allocate management resources and organize various tasks scientifically to ensure achievement of the overall operational and management objectives of the data service center.
- Ensure the service quality of all departments under management.
- Ensure safety management within the scope of responsibility.
- Responsible for staff management in the project, including recruitment, training, evaluation, motivation, and employee relations.
- Draft management policies and documents under the guidance of the management system documentation.
- Inspect, supervise, and evaluate outsourced services.
- Handle internal and external communication and client relationship management.
- Fully responsible for on-site project management and accountable for operational outcomes.
- Deputy to CEO of Data Centre.
- Provide regular reports on project performance, risk and mitigation and forecasts to the executive team.
- Collaborate with the operations and technical teams to ensure smooth service delivery for new clients.
Business Development & Client Engagement:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and market growth.
- Establish goals and monitor progress toward achieving sales targets.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to refine sales strategies.
- Collaborate with the Strategic Business Director to align sales initiatives with the company's overall business goals.
- To explore strategic partnership and collaboration with potential partners or companies within MY and outside of the MY region.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Lead the identification and acquisition of new clients, ensuring a strong sales pipeline.
- Negotiate contracts, closing deals that align with Basis Bay’s business and financial objectives.
- Represent Basis Bay at industry events and conferences to promote brand awareness and build client networks.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Degree in Engineering, eg. Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, or a related field. A Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) is an added advantage.
- CDCP, CDCS or relevant accreditation/cerfification is an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in DC project building, designing, operations, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within the data center service provider industry.
- Preferably with at least Tier 3 DC build, project management, operations, or equivalent experiences.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding project targets and driving DC growth.
- Experience managing high-level client relationships and negotiating large-scale contracts.
