Job summary

INTRETECH (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is hiring a Project Manager / Project Engineer to lead NPI initiatives from concept to mass production in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will coordinate engineering, R&D, quality and production teams, manage schedules, control risks, and ensure smooth handover to mass production for international customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3–4 years of project management / NPI / manufacturing experience.
• Strong coordination and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Project Manager / Project Engineer (Open to International Candidates)

Lead New Products from Development to Mass Production

Are you an experienced Project Engineer or Project Manager who enjoys bringing new products from concept and trial builds into successful mass production?

Join Intretech Malaysia and take a key role in driving New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, working closely with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver projects on schedule, at the required quality, and with a smooth transition into mass production.

What You'll Be Doing

Project Management & NPI

Lead and coordinate new product development projects from trial build through mass production.

Drive project schedules, milestones, deliverables and ramp-up plans.

Organise and lead regular cross-functional project meetings to track progress, issues, risks and corrective actions.

Coordinate resources across Engineering, R&D, Quality, Production and other relevant departments.

Identify potential project risks and drive timely solutions to ensure successful project launch.

Ensure all trial-run issues are properly addressed before transfer to mass production.

Support production during the initial mass production phase to ensure a smooth product transition.

APQP, Trial Build & Product Readiness

Prepare and maintain APQP documentation throughout the different phases of product development.

Monitor trial-run progress, First Pass Yield (FPY), issue lists and corrective actions.

Ensure project documentation and build history are properly maintained and traceable.

Drive project readiness and ensure required actions are completed before each subsequent build.

Technical & Quality Management

Lead cross-functional teams in resolving technical and quality issues during product development.

Analyse trial-run and test data to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.

Apply 4M, QC 7 Tools and root-cause analysis to support problem solving.

Work with relevant teams to establish product quality standards and specifications.

Monitor testing requirements and identify potential risks before mass production.

Communicate and coordinate directly with customers on project progress, technical issues and development requirements.

Present project status, trial results, risks and corrective actions effectively.

Work with customers to align product specifications, tolerances, project schedules and ramp-up requirements.

Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Ramp-Up & Mass Production

Develop and monitor ramp-up plans based on production capacity, tooling, fixtures and equipment availability.

Coordinate tooling, jig and equipment readiness according to project timelines.

Track project KPIs including schedule achievement, FPY and ramp-up achievement.

Ensure successful transition of projects into stable mass production.

What We're Looking For

For Project Manager:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.

3–4 years or more of relevant project management / NPI / manufacturing experience.

Strong project coordination and problem-solving skills.

Experience managing cross-functional teams and customer-facing projects.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.

1–2 years or more of relevant project management, engineering, NPI or manufacturing experience.

Fresh graduates with strong potential may also be considered for suitable opportunities.

You Will Be a Great Fit If You Have:

Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.

Good understanding of APQP, trial builds, FPY and mass production transfer.

Familiarity with 4M, QC 7 Tools and root-cause analysis.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Able to analyse data and prepare clear project reports.

Good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Strong sense of ownership, accountability and commitment to project deadlines.
