Entegris (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Kulim, Malaysia is seeking a Senior NPI Engineer to lead the transition of new products from development to manufacturing release and to drive global transfer of processes. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, stage-gate experience, and a hands-on engineering background.
The Senior NPI Engineer will manage multiple NPI projects, work with R&D, Operations, and Manufacturing teams, and ensure manufacturing readiness for launches.

TheSenior NPI Engineeris responsible for leading the transition of new products and processes from Development through Manufacturing release, as well as transferring products and processes to alternate global manufacturing sites. In this role, you will build strong cross-functional relationships across the global organization and develop strategic partnerships to drive the successful scale-up of products and processes using a structured Stage-Gate process.
You will be expected to evaluate complex and unusual situations, applying analytical thinking and problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. Working both independently and collaboratively, you will resolve a broad range of technical and operational challenges in innovative ways. These may include issues related to manufacturability, process development, product quality, safety, cost reduction, yield improvement, and overall operational efficiency.
This position reports directly to theSenior Manager, Global NPI, GMC.
Manage multiple NPI projects across a fast‑paced product portfolio using the Accolade Phase Gate tool.
Work with E R&D, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and production teams to ensure manufacturing readiness and successful product launches.
Serve as the NPI liaison between Development Engineering and Operations, driving products from development to release.
Work Globally to transfer products/processesGlobally
Ability to travel internationally as required
Partner with Product Development to meet design, manufacturing, and phase‑gate commitments.
Develop and execute project plans, including equipment selection, capacity planning, cost reduction, and waste management.
Prepare process documentation and support qualification builds and product launches.
Influence product and process design to ensure safe, high‑quality, manufacturable solutions through cross‑functional collaboration.
International travel to help “pull”process technologytransfersfrom the US to Malaysia.
Assist with audits and continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, cost, and efficiency.
Maintain a safe, compliant work environment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical discipline such as Mechanical Engineering.
Typically requires a minimum of 5+years of relatedhands‑onexperiencein a manufacturing or production environment.
Technical Expertise:
Strong technical skills to identify and resolve process gaps, including areas such as welding, fabrication, physical testing, and electro‑mechanical design.
Experience actively pulling products into manufacturing while ensuring process and quality capability.
Ability to create data‑driven New Product Introduction (NPI) plans to support long‑term portfolio success.
Project & Process Management:
Skilled in managing tasks to meet stage gate milestones and other key commitments.
Experience with structured development processes such as stage gate methodologies (e.g., Accolade).
Workscollaborativelyto meet project deadlinesby identifying and mitigating obstacles before they have negative impact.
Proven ability to orchestrate and prioritize multiple activities to achieve divisional goals.
Hands‑on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience using SAP ERP, specifically for managing Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and related documentation.

Working knowledge of stage gate process andsystems(e.g.,Accolade)
Ability to effectively communicate, influence, and collaborate with personnel across all levels of the organization.
Strong technical acumen to drive process improvements and resolve gaps in collaboration with subject matter experts.
