Job summary

Hong Leong Assurance is seeking a Project Manager to lead end-to-end IT project delivery for core insurance systems and digital platforms. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to translate complex needs into actionable specifications and successful outcomes.

The role blends Agile/Waterfall methodologies with system analysis across BRD/FSD artifacts, UAT support, and integration points, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Execution: manage full-lifecycle IT projects within scope, time, and budget.
• Planning & Scheduling: develop plans, milestones, resource allocations, and tracking.
• Risk & Issue Management: identify risks and mitigation strategies with escalation paths.
• Stakeholder Management: liaison between business units and IT development teams, with clear communication.
• Vendor Management: coordinate with third-party vendors and integrators to meet quality standards.
• Requirements Gathering: conduct workshops, interviews, and document analysis to elicit requirements.
• Process Mapping: model current and future business processes to identify gaps and automation opportunities.
• Documentation: produce BRD, FSD, use cases and flow diagrams.
• UAT & Testing Support: define tests, review cases, coordinate UAT and defect triage.
• System Integration: analyze interfaces, data flows, and integration points across platforms.

The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery while leveraging deep analytical capabilities to drive requirements engineering and system analysis. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to deliver robust core insurance systems, digital platforms, and operational enhancements.

This role requires a unique blend of sharp project management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall) and system analysis skills to translate complex insurance business needs into clear, actionable system specifications and successful project outcomes.

Project Management & Delivery

• End-to-End Execution: Manage full-lifecycle IT and business projects (initiatives spanning core insurance systems, digital portals, mobile apps, or regulatory compliance) within scope, time, and budget.

• Planning & Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project plans, milestones, resource allocations, and tracking mechanisms using PM tools.

• Risk & Issue Management: Identify project risks and dependencies, proactively establishing mitigation strategies and escalation paths.

• Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between business units and IT development teams, ensuring clear and regular communication of project status, milestones, and roadblocks.

• Vendor Management: Coordinate with third-party software vendors and system integrators to ensure deliverables align with quality standards and contractual agreements.

Business Systems Analysis & Requirements

• Requirements Gathering: Conduct workshops, interviews, and document analysis with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and validate functional and non-functional requirements.

• Process Mapping: Analyze and model current-state ("As-Is") and future-state ("To-Be") business processes, identifying gaps and opportunities for automation and efficiency.

• Documentation: Translate business requirements into clear, comprehensive technical artifacts, including Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), use cases, user stories, and process flow diagrams.

• UAT & Testing Support: Collaborate with QA and business teams to define test scenarios, review test cases, coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and facilitate defect triage.

• System Integration: Analyze system interfaces, data flows, and integration points across legacy core insurance platforms and modern cloud/digital environments.
