Job summary

Irkaz Holdings is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead and drive site operations in Batu Pahat, Johor. The role requires oversight of earthwork, drainage and infrastructure works, with a focus on government civil construction projects.

Candidates should have a minimum of 8 years’ hands-on experience in civil construction project management and strong leadership, coordination and contractual knowledge to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on civil construction project management.
• Experience with earthwork, drainage, infrastructure projects.
• Experience in government civil construction projects (JPS/JKR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage overall civil construction and site operations.
• Plan and monitor earthwork, excavation, filling, drainage and infrastructure works.
• Manage site team, subcontractors, suppliers, manpower and machinery.
• Monitor project progress against the construction programme and recover if required.
• Coordinate with Client, Consultant, Project Planner, QS, subcontractors and authorities.
• Monitor quality, safety, resources, variations and claims.
• Resolve site and technical issues to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare project progress updates and reports for Management.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, Method Statements, contractual and SHE requirements.

• Resolve site and technical issues to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare project progress updates and reports for Management.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, Method Statements, contractual and SHE requirements.

Requirements:

• Willing to be based in Batu Pahat, Johor.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in civil construction project management, particularly in infrastructure and earthwork projects.
• Proven experience in civil engineering construction projects involving earthwork, drainage, infrastructure and related works.
• Experience in government civil construction projects, particularly JPS and/or JKR projects, is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction programmes, site operations, progress monitoring and contractual requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication and project coordination skills.
• Able to independently manage site operations and coordinate with the Client, Consultant, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
