Job summary

Artans Construction Sdn Bhd in Pengerang, Johor, seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee delivery of construction projects. This full-time role covers planning to completion, ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery and high-quality standards.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, assess risks, and ensure compliance with regulations and HSE. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in construction, engineering, or oil & gas.
• Track record of delivering complex projects on schedule and within budget.
• Proficient in project management software such as MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and oversee project plans with objectives, deliverables, milestones, budgets, and timelines.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams including engineers and contractors across construction and oil & gas operations.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, delays, and cost impacts, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, HSE standards, quality procedures, and company policies.

About the role Artans Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of construction projects in Pengerang, Johor. As a full-time position, this role will be responsible for managing all aspects of project execution, from planning to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

What you'll be doing

Develop, execute, and oversee project plans with clear objectives, deliverables, milestones, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful project completion.

Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, site supervisors, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors across construction and oil & gas operations.

Monitor overall project progress, productivity, and performance; identify risks, delays, and cost impacts, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

Ensure all project activities comply with relevant industry regulations, local authorities’ requirements, HSE standards, quality procedures, and company policies.

Liaise closely with clients, consultants, stakeholders, and senior management by providing regular progress reports, technical updates, and resolution of project issues.

Control project budgets, procurement schedules, manpower planning, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and profitability.

Oversee site execution, commissioning, testing, and handover processes to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to required specifications.

Continuously identify opportunities to improve project delivery, operational efficiency, cost savings, and workflow effectiveness.

Lead, supervise, and mentor junior project management staff, engineers, and coordinators to strengthen team capability and performance.

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction, engineering, or oil & gas industry.

Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering complex construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects on schedule and within approved budget.

Strong project management capabilities, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, resource allocation, and execution of detailed project plans.

Sound knowledge of construction methodologies, contract administration, procurement processes, and project lifecycle management.

Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams effectively.

Proficient in project management software and tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, Excel, or equivalent systems.

Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.

Familiarity with Malaysian regulations, authority submission processes, HSE standards, and industry compliance requirements is an added advantage.
