Job summary

Artans Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking a Construction Manager to lead and coordinate all construction activities in the Pengerang, Johor region. The role involves planning, resourcing, execution, and strict quality control to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in senior construction roles, a civil engineering or construction management degree, and strong leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a Construction Manager or senior construction role
• Proven track record delivering complex construction projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and equipment
• Excellent project management, problem solving and decision making
• Able to lead and motivate construction teams to high performance and safety
• Exceptional communication with clients, consultants and suppliers
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field
• Oil & Gas experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement and resource allocation
• Manage daily site operations and ensure work meets drawings, specs, quality and timelines
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers to resolve issues
• Monitor progress, productivity, risks and implement corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with building codes, local authorities, safety and environmental regs
• Lead site teams to maintain safety and high performance
• Review methods, materials and processes to improve efficiency and cost- effectiveness
• Prepare progress reports, budgets, forecasts and senior management recommendations
• Oversee testing, inspections, and handover to clients
