Job summary

amc asia in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced events and projects lead to manage on-site executions and drive the creative vision from concept to delivery. You will coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality meet high standards.

The role requires at least a Diploma in Tourism/Event/Hotel Management or Mass Communication, 6+ years in the industry, and proven team leadership. Digital marketing and webinar/event know-how are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• You’d have to be a chameleon that can manage ground level, on‑site execution, and then morph into a superhuman planner in the office and make sure everything is in place.
• You have to be resourceful, assertive, independent, able to multitask and juggle looming deadlines while driving processes and staying on top of everything.
• The bulk of your work lies in planning and pre-empting for the project, managing relations and liaising with clients and vendors, managing internal and external parties, and making sure that the creative vision is brought to life on‑site.
• You’d need to be able to devise realistic timelines and ensure that projects stay within a designated budget while ensuring the highest product quality is delivered.
• You’d need to be able to lead and drive projects and your internal team as well as ensure communications with vendors and especially clients are smooth, concise, and above all – awesome.
• You’d need to be able to work around project processes, multitask to your best possibility, and ensure to have a solution centric mindset.

Requirements

• We’re looking for people who are street‑smart and can get things done, period.
• An education is important and all we're asking for is a minimum Diploma in Tourism/Event/Hotel Management or Mass Communication.
• Have at least 6 years of related industry experience.
• Ability to lead or manage a team with experience of at least 2 years in team management (Management experience in a team‑oriented workplace preferred).
• Able to manage a project especially event preferred.
• The capacity to call a show as well as previous experience in video production - while these are not a must, but it will definitely get you through our doors!
• Being visually inclined is also important to ensure execution on‑site matching the concept and vision in the plan
• You need to be articulate and be able to communicate well with clients and vendors.
• Considering current times, you'd need to be able to learn, understand and run projects/webinars, and have an understanding on virtual event execution.
• Any capabilities in Digital Marketing is an added plus as the company provides an array of marketing services.
• Good command of English language is preferred. However, any additional secondary capabilities are great considering we have offices across the region (Mandarin, Thai, Korean, Arab - MORE THAN WELCOME).
