Job summary

ETD Makmur (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a results-driven Substation Project Lead to manage end-to-end project delivery across procurement, engineering, construction, installation, testing and commissioning. You will coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient delivery in line with contractual requirements and industry standards.

4–5 years of relevant experience and a degree in Electrical Engineering are required; GCWP/RAA are highly desirable, and travel readiness is

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience delivering substation projects 132kV and above.
• Solid understanding of TNB Grid Development standards and construction practices.
• GCWP and RAA certification are highly desirable.
• Own transport and willingness to travel; able to work to tight deadlines.

Job description

Lead the end-to-end delivery of substation projects from procurement, engineering and construction through installation, testing and commissioning. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager or Project Director, you will coordinate project teams and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

Lead project teams and manage the execution of the full project cycle, including procurement, engineering, construction, installation, testing and commissioning.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, consultants, local authorities, site teams and subcontractors.

Develop and monitor project work programmes to ensure timely completion of project tasks and compliance with the overall contractual schedule.

Prepare project progress reports, progress claims and other related project documentation, including outage plans.

Coordinate project activities, monitor progress and address issues to support successful project delivery.

What we're looking for

Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university, preferably with a specialisation in Electrical Power.

Minimum 4–5 years of relevant working experience with a proven track record in successfully commissioned substation projects rated at 132kV and above.

Deep understanding of TNB Grid Development standards and construction practices.

Grid Contractor Qualified Person (GCWP) and Receiving Authorized Authority (RAA) certification is highly desirable.

Possess own transport and be willing to travel.

Able to work to tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
