is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to coordinate engineering activities, technical submissions and site execution for utility substation, transmission and distribution projects in Malaysia. The candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years in relevant projects, including TNB or similar utilities, and hands‑on experience with 132 kV+ assets.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering or project experience.
• At least 3 years supporting utility projects involving substations, transmission lines or underground cables.
• Hands‑on experience in 132 kV or higher utility projects.
• Knowledge of Malaysian utility standards and design reviews.
• Based in Malaysia and eligible to work locally.

Responsabilidades

• Review and coordinate electrical drawings, SLDs, layouts and protection interfaces.
• Prepare and monitor technical submissions, RFIs, shop drawings and method statements.
• Coordinate engineering with PMs, consultants, contractors and site personnel.
• Support construction activities including testing and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with TNB or equivalent standards and project quality.
• Review vendor documents and inspection/test plans.
• Support FAT, SAT and technical inspections.
• Monitor progress, material requirements and project schedules.
• Prepare as‑built drawings and handover submissions.

Project Engineer – Electrical (Utility Substation, Transmission & Distribution)

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to coordinate engineering activities, technical submissions and site execution for utility substation, transmission and distribution projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and coordinate electrical engineering drawings, single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, cable schedules, earthing systems and protection/control interfaces.

Prepare and monitor technical submissions, RFIs, shop drawings, method statements, material submissions and design changes.

Coordinate engineering requirements with project managers, consultants, contractors and site personnel.

Support construction activities involving electrical installations, equipment, cable works, testing and commissioning.

Ensure engineering compliance with TNB or equivalent utility specifications and project quality requirements.

Review vendor documents, equipment datasheets and inspection/test plans.

Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and technical inspections.

Monitor engineering progress, material requirements and project schedules.

Prepare as-built drawings, inspection records, commissioning documents and handover submissions.

Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering or project experience.

At least 3 years of direct experience supporting TNB or equivalent utility projects involving substations, transmission lines or underground power cables.

Hands‑on experience in 132 kV or higher utility projects.

Knowledge of TNB or Malaysian utility technical standards, design reviews, inspections and approval procedures.

Ability to interpret single-line diagrams, protection/control systems, MV/HV equipment layouts and engineering drawings.

Experience in GIS/AIS substations, transformers, protection systems, MV/HV cables and testing and commissioning is an advantage.

Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel and engineering document control.

BEM Graduate Engineer registration is an advantage, where applicable.

Must be based in Malaysia, legally eligible to work in Malaysia and willing to work at project sites.
