Hicom Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Management Executive to lead the APQP project lifecycle from LOI to handover, covering both commercial and engineering aspects. You will prepare IFQs, analyze pricing, and coordinate across customers, internal teams, and sub-suppliers.
The role requires a degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering, proficiency in project management, and the ability to read technical drawings.
Lead and manage the entire APQP project lifecycle—including commercial and engineering aspects from LOI to handover—by preparing IFQs, conducting cost analysis, managing customer quotations, ensuring adherence to schedule, cost, and quality, and maintaining effective communication with key stakeholders throughout.
Job Description
1. Conduct RFQ studies and prepare IFQs for the costing team to develop part pricing.
2. Analyse and propose effective pricing strategies.
3. Plan, execute, coordinate, and monitor project implementation during the design and development stages according to schedule, cost, and quality targets.
4. Communicate with key stakeholders, including customers, internal teams, and sub-suppliers.
5. Read, interpret, and summarize technical specifications and engineering drawings.
6. Lead APQP phases and compile related documentation with support from relevant APQP departments.
7. Prepare progress and final reports on development status and issues encountered and officially hand over completed projects to the operations team.
8. Provide support for unexpected technical issues during project development, whether internal or at the customer site.
Job Requirements
Have a recognized degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering.
Have good knowledge in Project Management, Manufacturing Processes, Reporting and Manufacturing Costs.
Required key competencies, such as, good communication skills, project planning, organizational agility, people and team management, problem solving, action oriented and self-initiative.
Have the ability to converse in Mandarin.
2 years’ experience in automotive manufacturing environment is preferred.
