Job summary

PHN Industry Sdn Bhd, a DRB-HICOM subsidiary, is seeking a fresh graduate engineer to lead facility maintenance and plant assets. You will coordinate preventive maintenance, troubleshoot systems, and manage contractors while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline, strong Excel reporting, and good BM/English communication. Occasional travel to sites like Bukit Beruntung, Rasa, and Tanjung Malim is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, or related Engineering discipline.
Fresh graduates welcome; exposure to equipment maintenance or utilities management is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel for reporting & tracking).
Good communication skills in BM & English.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

Lead and monitor maintenance, servicing, and repair of key facility assets.
Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance for high uptime.
Troubleshoot facility systems and provide engineering solutions during breakdowns.
Manage service contractors and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Prepare maintenance reports, performance tracking, and improvement plans.
Develop BQ, RFQ, and technical documents for maintenance contracts and tendering.
Ensure compliance with authority regulations (BOMBA, JKKP, DOE, local councils).
Provide support during emergencies and extended hours when needed.

Job description

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, or related Engineering discipline.

2. Fresh graduates welcome; exposure to equipment maintenance or utilities management is an advantage.

3. Good technical drawing literacy and ability to understand electrical/mechanical schematics.

4. Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel for reporting & tracking).

5. Good communication skills in BM & English.

6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high sense of urgency.

7. Willing to work extra hours, especially during equipment downtime or facility emergencies.

8. Knowledge of maintenance processes, engineering standards, and statutory requirements (JKKP, BOMBA, DOE, etc.) preferred.

9. Team player with good attitude, discipline, and willingness to be on standby if required.

10. Willing to travel to Bukit Beruntung, Rasa, and Tanjung Malim as required.

Key Responsibility

1. Lead and monitor the maintenance, servicing, and repair of key facility assets such as Air Compressor Systems, Cooling Towers, Cranes & Hoisting Equipment,

2. Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance activities to ensure high equipment uptime.

3. Troubleshoot facility systems and support immediate engineering solutions for breakdowns.

4. Manage service contractors and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and statutory requirements.

5. Prepare maintenance reports, performance tracking, and improvement plans.

6. Develop BQ, RFQ, and technical documents for maintenance contracts, equipment replacement, and tendering.

7. Ensure compliance with authority regulations (BOMBA, JKKP, DOE, Majlis Perbandaran, etc.).

8. Provide support during emergencies, unplanned shutdowns, and extended working hours when necessary.
