Job summary

HICOM-Teck See Manufacturing Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an APQP/Project Engineer to drive the full APQP lifecycle from LOI to handover, including costing and customer quotations.

You will lead cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery, cost discipline and quality compliance. Experience in automotive manufacturing and Mandarin skills are advantageous for collaboration with suppliers and customers.

Qualifications

• Education: a recognized Mechanical or Process Engineering degree (minimum).
• Experience: 2 years' experience in Automotive manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge: project management and APQP phases, including cost and timing controls.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the entire APQP project phase including commercial and engineering matters from LOI, project execution and monitoring until handover.
• Prepare IFQ, costing analysis and manage quotation to customers.
• Manage project according to schedule, cost and quality.
• Communicate with and manage key stakeholders throughout the project.
• Conduct RFQ study and prepare IFQ for costing section to develop part price.
• Understand product costing structure.
• Plan, execute, coordinate and monitor implementation of the project during design and development stage according to schedule, cost and quality.
• Prepare time-based program and monitor/ control it in accordance with development program for various stages.
• Conduct regular cost checking during development to avoid cost overruns and charge/ claim to customer accordingly.
• Communicate with customers, internal teams and sub-suppliers.
• Read, understand and summarize technical specifications and drawings.
• Lead APQP phases and documentation compilation with support from related APQP members.
• Write progress and final reports on development status and handover to operation teams upon completion.

• 2) Understands with product costing structure.


• 3) Planning, execute, coordinate and monitor the Implementation of the project during design and development stage according to schedule, cost & quality.


• Prepare time-based program, ensure that it is monitor & control in accordance with development program for various stages


• Conduct regular cost checking during development to avoid cost overrun & relevant additional cost is charge/claim to customer accordingly.


• 4) Communicating with key stakeholders including customers, internal teams & sub-suppliers.


• 5) Read, understand and summarize:


• Technical specifications


• Technical drawings.


• 6) Leader of APQP phases & documentation compilation with the support from related APQP members department.


• 7) Write progress and final report on the development status, issues arises and officially handover to operation teams upon completion of each project.


• 8) Support in any unexpected technical difficulties and other problem that arise during project development, either at customers or internal.

Requirements

A. Education

A recognized Mechanical or Process Engineering degree (minimum).

B. Experience (Years)

2 years' experience in Automotive manufacturing environment

C. Special requirements (Knowledge / Training)

Advantage:

• Proficient in Mandarin (spoken and written).


• Able to speak foreign languages (example: Japanese, German, Korean and etc)
