Nolato (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a capable Project Engineer to manage and coordinate injection molding projects from concept through to production.

You will liaise with design, tooling, quality, and production teams to ensure project success. The role emphasizes mold design evaluation, process validation, and continuous improvement, with experience in CAD tools and IQ/OQ/PQ documentation. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in project engineering, injection moulding.
• Strong mould design, plastic materials, and injection moulding processes.
• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and project management tools.
• Knowledge of IQ/OQ/PQ and process validation.
• Experience in regulated environments (ISO 13485, IATF 16949) and high-precision plastics.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate and approve mold designs and modifications with toolmakers and suppliers.
• Provide technical support during mold trials, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and status reports.

• Source and manage suppliers and vendors involved in tooling and components.
• Drive continuous improvement in molding processes and tooling performance.
• Participate in DFMEA and PFMEA activities for new or modified products.

Manage and coordinate injection molding projects from concept through to production, liaising with cross-functional teams including design, tooling, quality, and production to ensure project success.

Key responsibilities

Evaluate and approve mold designs and modifications in collaboration with toolmakers and suppliers

Provide technical support during mold trials, troubleshooting molding issues, and implementing corrective actions

Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and status reports

Ensure that all projects comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards

Source and manage suppliers and vendors involved in tooling and component supply

Drive continuous improvement in molding processes and tooling performance

Participate in DFMEA and PFMEA activities for new or modified products

Support validation and documentation for new tool launches (IQ, OQ, PQ)

About you

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field

3–5 years of experience in project engineering, specifically in injection moulding

Strong understanding of mould design, plastic materials, and injection moulding processes

Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and project management tools

Knowledge of scientific moulding principles and process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)

Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment

Experience in medical device, automotive, or high-precision plastic components

Experience with ISO 13485, IATF 16949, or other regulated environments
