Job summary

ACE Mechanical is seeking a Project Executive in Perai, Penang to lead project timelines, budgets, and quality across mechanical engineering and construction projects. This role blends on-site leadership with office planning to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of PM experience in construction or mechanical engineering and proficiency with MS Project/Primavera, plus English and Mandarin communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
• 3–5 years of project management experience in construction or mechanical engineering
• Proven track record of delivering projects from conception to completion
• Knowledge of construction methodologies, scheduling tools (MS Project/Primavera), and budgets
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) for Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management software
• Familiarity with HSE requirements in construction
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities with attention to detail
• PMP certification or equivalent is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control project schedules, ensuring milestones are met
• Manage project budgets and track expenditures for cost-effectiveness
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors for smooth execution
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks per project specs
• Prepare and maintain project documentation: reports, minutes, compliance records
• Liaise between project teams, clients, and senior management to communicate progress
• Identify and manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental regulations on all sites
• Help resolve technical issues and coordinate problem-solving efforts amongst team
