Job summary

Hatch Asia, in partnership with a global building materials leader, seeks a Project Executive to lead roofing projects from initiation to completion in Kuala Lumpur. You will manage scope, budget, schedule, and resources while ensuring contract compliance and safe, high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include coordinating with clients, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams; reviewing drawings; and driving continuous improvement through KPI monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering/Construction Management.
• Experience in construction projects and subcontractor supervision preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

The Challenges

• Project Management: Oversee roofing installation projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with scope, specification, budget, and schedule while managing resources and risks.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Interface effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal departments to achieve project goals.
• Technical and Quality Oversight: Review specifications, recommend installation methods, and ensure product quality meets or exceeds set standards.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Maintain a Safety First approach, aiming for zero accidents, incidents, and illnesses throughout project execution.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and report on KPIs, including productivity, rejection rate, downtime, and cost targets, while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

What It Takes

• Education and Experience: Bachelors degree or diploma in Engineering/Construction Management with 23 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of construction environments, ability to read technical drawings, and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Leadership and Communication: Proven ability to manage subcontractors/workers, uphold brand integrity, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Safety and Quality Focus: Thorough knowledge of construction safety protocols and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical thinking, stress management, and the ability to drive improvements in cost, quality, and productivity.
