About the role

Zalam Corporation Sdn Bhd is seeking a Civil & Structure Site Coordinator (Infra) to join our dynamic construction team based in Gopeng, Perak. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial operational role in managing and coordinating civil and structural works on infrastructure projects. As Site Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that all site activities run smoothly, efficiently and in compliance with project specifications, safety regulations and contractual obligations. This position is essential to the successful delivery of our infrastructure projects and directly impacts project timelines, quality standards and team performance on-site.

What you'll be doing

Coordinate daily site activities and ensure smooth execution of civil and structural works in accordance with project plans and schedules

Monitor and track project progress, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective measures to maintain project timeline

Liaise between site teams, engineering staff, contractors and management to ensure effective communication and collaboration

Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices on site

Manage site documentation, including daily logs, permits, inspection reports and quality records

Coordinate material and equipment deliveries, ensuring proper storage and handling on-site

Conduct site inspections and quality checks to verify compliance with construction specifications and standards

Support site meetings, including pre-construction planning, progress meetings and safety briefings

Maintain accurate records of labour, equipment usage and project expenditures for cost management purposes

Assist in resolving on-site issues and conflicts in a timely and professional manner

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Coordinator, Site Engineer or similar role in civil and infrastructure construction projects

Strong knowledge of civil and structural construction processes, methods and best practices

Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively

Proficiency in site coordination software, Microsoft Office applications and project management tools

Preferably for Chinese/Mandarin speaking

Sound understanding of health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations and construction standards

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and liaise with diverse stakeholders

Problem-solving ability and attention to detail

Experience with infrastructure projects such as roads, highways, bridges or utilities is preferred

Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software is an advantage
