Job summary

Talent Trader Group Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Product/Manufacturing Engineer to support new product design and development in Penang. The role involves optimizing manufacturing processes, coordinating line setups for NPIs, and ensuring product quality through rigorous testing and QC activities.

You will collaborate with Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to ensure smooth transition from development to mass production and drive cost and waste

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Product Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering, preferably in sheet metal or precision manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with CNC programming, laser cutting, bending, and clinching.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support during new product design and development, including design improvement, manufacturability, cost optimization, and product testing.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, production workflows, assembly procedures, and testing methods for new products.
• Assess manufacturing readiness and coordinate equipment, tooling, resources, and production line setup for NPI projects.
• Work closely with Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to ensure smooth transition from development to mass production.
• Ensure product quality and manufacturing processes meet required standards and specifications through testing, inspection, and quality control activities.
• Manage NPI projects from planning to implementation, including timelines, task coordination, risk management, and progress tracking.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, waste reduction, and production efficiency enhancement.
• Analyze manufacturing issues and implement effective solutions to improve product quality and production performance.
