Job summary

Kingdom BSL Technology Sdn. Bhd. in Penang, Batu Kawan, is seeking a Process Engineering Manager for sheet metal to lead the process engineering team and drive manufacturing improvements.

You will optimize workflows, review DFMs, and collaborate with Production, Quality, R&D, and Maintenance to resolve issues. The role focuses on process optimization, automation, NPI support, SOP development and monitoring performance metrics such as scrap and efficiency, while fostering coaching and development

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sheet metal manufacturing/process engineering with supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and production methods.
• Experience in process improvement, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, CAD and manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the process engineering team for sheet metal manufacturing.
• Develop, optimize and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality and cost efficiency.
• Oversee laser cutting, punching, bending, welding, fabrication and assembly processes.
• Review technical drawings and ensure effective Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production and process issues.

• Drive continuous improvement, process automation and cost-reduction initiatives.

Lead and manage the process engineering team for sheet metal manufacturing.

Develop, optimize and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality and cost efficiency.

Oversee processes including laser cutting, punching, bending, welding, fabrication and assembly.

Review technical drawings and ensure effective Design for Manufacturability (DFM).

Experience in Lean Manufacturing, 5S or Kaizen is an added advantage.
