Job summary

Hong Poh Engineering Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer in Malaysia to liaise with clients, plan and coordinate M&E projects, and ensure on-site execution meets requirements. You will be hands-on, proactive and coordinate activities from customer requirements through to completion on site.

The role covers site visits, costing, scheduling, installation, servicing and repairs, with responsibility to ensure quality and safety, and timely resolution of site issues while

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Experience in Mechanical/M&E projects, installation, servicing, maintenance or project coordination is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Good interpersonal, communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and coordinate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer and project site visits to understand work requirements and carry out costing.
• Prepare and submit quotations to customers and follow up on purchase orders.
• Prepare and coordinate project/work schedules.
• Plan, monitor and coordinate installation, servicing and repair works.
• Liaise with customers, contractors, suppliers and internal teams for smooth execution.
• Monitor project/site progress and ensure works meet schedule and requirements.
• Ensure work quality and safety standards are complied with.
• Identify and highlight outstanding project/site issues for timely resolution.
• Lead and coordinate supporting personnel assigned to the project.
• Troubleshoot technical and site issues and provide practical solutions.

Job description

This position offers good exposure to customer liaison, costing, project planning, site coordination and mechanical/M&E works. You will be hands-on, proactive and capable of coordinating projects from customer requirements through site execution.

Key responsibilities

Attend customer and project site visits to understand work requirements and carry out costing.

Prepare and submit quotations to customers and follow up on purchase orders.

Prepare and coordinate project/work schedules.

Plan, monitor and coordinate installation, servicing and repair works.

Liaise with customers, contractors, suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Monitor project/site progress and ensure works are completed according to schedule and requirements.

Ensure work quality and safety standards are properly complied with.

Identify and highlight outstanding project or site issues to the superior and management for timely resolution.

Lead and coordinate supporting personnel assigned to the project.

Troubleshoot technical and site issues and provide practical solutions.

About you

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.

Relevant working experience in Mechanical / M&E projects, installation, servicing, maintenance or project coordination will be an added advantage.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Good planning and problem-solving abilities.

Able to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with different stakeholders.

Hands-on, responsible and willing to work at project/customer sites when required.
