Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to oversee installation works at construction project sites. This role involves full-cycle project coordination — including documentation control, manpower planning, installation scheduling, commissioning, and final handover.

The Project Engineer will work closely with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and supervise all installation activities at construction sites

Prepare and submit project documentation: CAD drawings, method statements, progress claims, test reports, and certification documents

Manage day-to-day manpower allocation and ensure adequate staffing

Coordinate subcontractor work and track installation progress

Attend site meetings and ensure adherence to project schedules

Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution

Troubleshoot and resolve technical or operational issues during installation

Prepare and secure progress billings, commissioning documentation, and manage final project handover

Support pre-project activities: site assessment, quantity take-off, scope review, material sourcing, and labour cost estimation

Ensure compliance with corporate EHS requirements and maintain proper documentation

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (any field). Candidates with a Quantity Surveying degree may also be considered

Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and AutoCAD

Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in project management, construction site coordination, and manpower supervision

Strong knowledge of construction workflows, safety standards, documentation, and commissioning procedures

Strong documentation and filing skills (hardcopy and digital)

Willing to travel and work extended hours or weekends when required

Self-motivated, independent, and able to meet deadlines

Candidates who can start immediately will have an advantage
