Job summary

Jora Malaysia in Port Klang is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support project execution at an Oil & Gas fabrication yard in Telok Gong, Klang.

You will review drawings, coordinate activities, ensure safety and quality, and liaise with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Min. degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply for a junior engineer position.
• Willing to work at Oil & Gas fabrication yard in Telok Gong, Klang.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, and technical documents to understand requirements and identify discrepancies.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor project activities to ensure work is executed safely, on schedule, within budget and quality.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, fabrication, QA/QC, HSE, planning and other teams for smooth project execution.
• Provide technical guidance and support to supervisors, foremen, subcontractors and site personnel during project execution.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors and stakeholders to resolve technical and project-related issues.
• Monitor progress to ensure compliance with specifications, procedures, drawings, codes and company standards.
• Attend project meetings, site inspections and coordination meetings; follow up on action items.
• Assist in preparing schedules, work plans, method statements, material requirements and technical documentation.
• Raise PRs and coordinate with Procurement and Expediting to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.

• Assist in preparing project schedules, work plans, method statements, material requirements, and technical documentation.
• Raise Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and coordinate with Procurement and Expediting teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities and ensure work is performed in accordance with the approved scope, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Identify project risks, technical issues, and potential delays, and propose practical solutions to minimize project impact.
• Monitor project resources, productivity, and progress, and prepare periodic reports for management.
• Ensure project activities comply with HSE requirements and promote a safe working environment.
• Support testing, commissioning, handover, and project close-out activities where applicable.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the PM or immediate superior.
