Exyte in Malaysia seeks an Electrical Project Engineer to plan, coordinate, supervise, and deliver electrical installation works for semiconductor tool installation and facility projects.
The role oversees activities from planning through handover, coordinating with PM, managers, subcontractors, and tool vendors to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery in accordance with drawings and standards.
The Electrical Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and delivering electrical installation works for semiconductor tool installation and facility projects.
The role will manage electrical engineering activities from planning and design coordination through installation, testing, commissioning, tool hook-up, and project handover. The Electrical Project Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager, Electrical Manager, MEP teams, subcontractors, tool vendors, consultants, and client representatives to ensure that electrical works are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and applicable standards.
The position requires a strong combination of electrical engineering knowledge, site execution experience, project coordination, technical problem-solving, and semiconductor/tool installation experience.
The Electrical Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing electrical works for semiconductor tool installation projects, ensuring all activities are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards. The role involves coordinating electrical design, installation, testing, commissioning, and tool hook‑up activities; supervising subcontractors and site teams; reviewing electrical drawings and technical documentation; coordinating with tool vendors, clients, consultants, and other MEP disciplines; managing RFIs, material requirements, inspections, and project documentation; troubleshooting technical issues; and ensuring compliance with quality, HSE, and project requirements through to successful commissioning and handover.
