in Penang seeks a Project Engineer to support planning, coordination and execution of engineering and construction projects, working with the Project Manager, engineers, consultants, contractors and clients to ensure safe delivery on schedule and within budget. You will review drawings, oversee site activities, manage RFIs and NCRs, monitor progress against milestones, and participate in meetings.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of relevant project engineering or construction experience.
• Strong ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Good project coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient English communication; able to work with international teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning and managing project activities from design through construction and commissioning.
• Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical disciplines for smooth execution.
• Review drawings, specs, method statements, and shop drawings.
• Monitor progress against programme and milestones.
• Support RFIs, technical queries, NCRs, and approvals.
• Participate in site and progress meetings and prepare minutes.
• Identify and resolve technical, design and construction issues.
• Assist in monitoring risks, variations, claims and delays.
