We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in Sungai Petani, Kedah. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects. As Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing project execution, coordinating with various stakeholders, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on significant infrastructure and building projects whilst working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key responsibilities: -

• Monitor and supervise daily construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and contractual requirements
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to verify that work meets industry standards and company specifications
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, daily logs, and site records
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
• Liaise between the design team and construction team to clarify technical requirements and resolve on-site issues
• Manage project timelines and schedules, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout all project phases
• Assist in cost estimation, budget tracking, and cost control measures for assigned projects
• Support the Project Manager in planning, coordination, and execution of project milestones
• Maintain effective communication with clients and project stakeholders regarding progress and any concerns

What we're looking for: -

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 3-4 years of post-graduation experience in construction project management or site engineering
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and practices relevant to civil and structural works
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with construction management software and tools (such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, or similar applications)
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams
• Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to site locations as required
• Professional Engineering qualification or registration (PE/PEng) is advantageous but not essential
