Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Project Engineer (Contract) to oversee the technical delivery of civil construction projects from implementation through completion. This role requires an experienced civil engineer who can coordinate drawings, manage authority submissions and permits, align client requirements, and work closely with internal teams to keep project deliverables on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of civil or construction project delivery experience.
• Proficient with ACAD, BIM, PLAXIS and STAAD.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical aspects from project start to finish.
• Review, check and coordinate construction drawings.
• Liaise with authorities, attend meetings, and manage permit submissions.
• Act as main client contact to ensure alignment on requirements.
• Assist cross-functional teams to review deliverables and drive improvements.

We are looking for a Project Engineer (Contract) to oversee the technical delivery of civil construction projects from implementation through completion. This role is suited for an experienced civil engineering professional who can coordinate drawings, manage authority submissions and permits, align client requirements, and work closely with internal teams to keep project deliverables on track.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the technical aspects of project implementation from commencement to completion.

Review, check and coordinate construction drawings throughout the project lifecycle.

Liaise with relevant authorities, attend meetings, and manage reports and document submissions for work permits.

Act as the main point of contact for clients by understanding project requirements and ensuring alignment during project execution.

Facilitate technical discussions with internal teams to review deliverables and implement corrective actions when required.

Collaborate across departments to support problem-solving, knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering field.

Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in civil or construction project delivery.

Familiar with ACAD, BIM, PLAXIS and STAAD.

Strong coordination, communication and stakeholder management skills.
