Hirehub Group in Malaysia seeks a Project Engineer to plan, execute and coordinate engineering projects, developing schedules, resources and documentation to meet objectives.

You will work with customers, suppliers and internal teams, monitor progress, control cost and quality, and prepare reports. A Diploma or Bachelor in Engineering and about 3 years' experience in project engineering are expected; Mandarin and English are preferred for communication.

Job Description (JD)

• Plan, execute and coordinate projects to ensure timely completion in accordance with project objectives and requirements.
• Develop project plans, schedules and resource arrangements, and monitor progress throughout each project phase.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare, organise and maintain project-related technical documents, drawings, reports and progress records.
• Follow up on product development, new product introduction, engineering changes and technical issues, coordinating with relevant departments to resolve problems.
• Monitor project quality, cost, schedule and safety requirements, identifying potential risks and implementing appropriate solutions.
• Provide regular updates on project progress, implementation status and issues encountered, together with recommendations for improvement.
• Assist in project-related procurement, material preparation, equipment installation, testing and acceptance activities.
• Participate in project meetings, follow up on action items and ensure assigned tasks are completed on time.
• Perform other project and engineering-related duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements (JR)

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
• Approximately 3 years of experience in project engineering, engineering coordination or a related role.
• Experience in manufacturing, machinery, automation or precision engineering is preferred.
• Good project planning, schedule management and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, technical documents and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with project management software or CAD software is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently follow up on project tasks and deliver results within established timelines.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and responsible, with good teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Mandarin and English is preferred for work-related communication.
