Job summary

Eaton Malaysia is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee switchgear/transformer projects in Selangor. You will manage multiple projects from planning to execution, coordinate with service engineers and subcontractors, and ensure on-time delivery and budget adherence.

The role requires engineering background, 2+ years in project management, and CAD skills, with PMP certification preferred. On-site work in Subang Jaya, Malaysia, with focus on quality and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree / Diploma or equivalent in Engineering discipline; PMP Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage & control projects to meet contract requirements and control costs.
• Collaborate with Eaton Service Engineers and manage sub-contractors per project plan.
• Provide accurate sales forecast and issue invoices per contract milestones.
• Manage multiple project implementations and deliveries per requirements.
• Attend project meetings at site and coordinate with customers.
• Support contract administration including shopping drawings, and O&M submissions.
• Work with CS/SCM teams on parts ordering and lead times to meet needs.
• Promote QMS/EHS: risk-based thinking, continuous improvement, and compliance.

What you’ll do:

• A. Manage & control projects to meet the contract requirements and ensure cost control to meet project budget
• B. Collaborate with Eaton Service Engineers and manage sub-contractors in resource deployment according to project implementation plan
• C. Provide accurate and timely sales forecast and issuance of invoice per contract milestone/progressive claims
• D. Manage multiple projects implementation and delivery according to each project requirements
• E. Schedule and attend project meeting/discussions per project requirements
• F. Maintain upto date project integrated costing sheet and traceable tracking record to account for project expenses.
• G. Attendance of project meetings (technical, coordination etc) at site
• H. Manage / support contract administration works (ordering, billing milestone, shop drawings & O&M submission)
• I. Work with Customer Service / Supply Chain Management (SCM) team on parts ordering and lead time to meet project requirements
• J. Manage sub-contractor work schedule, resource deployment and quality of work.
• K. Manage customers requests during product FAT / SAT and support Service team on result obtained and report compilation
• L. Be committed & responsible for Quality Management System (QMS) / Environment Health & Safety (EHS):
  • a. Implement the process approach and risk-based thinking
  • b. Provide the necessary support to fully implement and sustain the QMS / EHS
  • c. Communicating to the organization the importance of conforming to QMS / EHS requirements
  • d. Ensuring the QMS / EHS meets its goals
  • e. Engage, direct, and support individuals contributing to the QMS /EHS
  • f. Create a culture of continuous improvement

• Degree / Diploma or equivalent in Engineering discipline PHP - Project Management Professional Cert
• At least 2 years of project management experience
• Auto-CAD skill
• Good communication skill
