Job summary

MayAir Group in Malaysia invites a Project Engineer to support projects from tender through execution, installation and handover. You will coordinate drawings, material submissions and delivery timelines with cross‑functional teams and clients.

Lead installation and commissioning, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications while liaising with internal teams and subcontractors. Multilingual capability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Multilingual in Bahasa, English and Mandarin.
• Willing to be based in Bandar Teknologi, Kajang / Simpang Ampat, Penang and undertake overseas assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead tender support by providing technical clarifications, documentation, and engineering input.
• Manage post-sales execution including coordinating technical drawings, material submissions, and project delivery timelines.
• Supervise installation and commissioning works, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients throughout project execution.
• Track project progress and documentation, and updates for Project Manager and clients.

What You'll Do

What You'll Need

Must Have

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics or related Engineering discipline
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Multi-lingual proficiency in Bahasa, English and Mandarin to effectively engage with Mandarin-speaking clients
• Willing to be based in Bandar Teknologi, Kajang / Simpang Ampat, Penang and undertake overseas assignments

Good to Have:

• Experience in handling industrial, HVAC, M&E, or equipment supply projects
• Able to read, interpret, and prepare engineering drawings.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
