Job summary

U‑Teknik Trading Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Project Engineer to join our engineering team in Bukit Minyak, Penang. This full‑time role oversees project execution from conception through completion, ensuring quality, timelines and budgets are met.

You will coordinate with consultants, main contractors and clients, manage planning, safety and quality systems, and support tender submissions. CAD software experience and strong communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–3 years working experience in related field; fresh graduates welcome.
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, circuit design and industrial equipment.
• Experience with CAD software and technical documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project execution from conception to completion and ensure deliverables meet quality, timeline and budget targets.
• Supervise and monitor work status of multiple projects and coordinate with consultants, main contractors and related parties.
• Plan project activities including budgeting, cost control, safety and quality systems implementation.
• Collaborate with design engineers, technicians and clients to ensure project alignment and resolve technical challenges.
• Prepare tender documents and assist in bidding processes; monitor procurement activities and supplier management.

This is a full‑time position that plays a crucial role in the successful delivery of our electrical and electronic engineering projects. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing project execution from conception through to completion, ensuring that all deliverables meet quality standards, timelines and budgetary requirements. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation as a reliable engineering solutions provider and directly contributes to the growth and success of the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible in supervising and monitoring work status of projects
• Co‑ordinate with consultant, main contractor and other related party
• To take charge and monitor the work progress, quality and productivity to meet project datelines.
• Assist in the coordination of multi‑disciplinary works within a project including handling project planning, budget and cost control, safety and quality system implementation
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including design engineers, technicians and clients, to ensure project alignment
• To assist and prepare documents for tender submission during bidding process.
• Identify and resolve technical and operational challenges that may impact project delivery
• Conduct quality assurance checks and testing to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards
• Provide regular status updates and communicate with stakeholders and clients
• Support procurement activities and supplier management for project materials and components

What we’re looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• At least 1‑3 years working experience in the related field.
• Fresh graduates and experienced candidates are welcomed
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, circuit design and industrial equipment
• Proficiency in relevant software programme for planning and project work
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Possess good leadership, strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with technical and non‑technical teams
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Experience with CAD software and technical documentation is preferred
• Own transport
• Willing to travel outstation when required
