Job summary

M S ICT Solution Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Engineer to drive Electrical and ELV engineering projects from design to handover. You will support planning, design and coordination with contractors and stakeholders on real-world projects in Malaysia.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, strong CAD skills, and experience with construction site practices, MS Office, and MS Project.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Experience with electrical/ELV systems and construction site practices is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of Microsoft Project is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in planning, design, coordination and execution of Electrical and ELV engineering projects.
• Assist in project scheduling, implementation, documentation, monitoring and progress tracking from commencement through completion and handover.
• Coordinate site activities, installation works, inspections and workflows with main contractors, consultants, subcontractors and other relevant parties.
• Attend site, technical and coordination meetings as required.
• Assist in reviewing and re-engineering electrical/ELV installation designs to suit actual site conditions and project requirements.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, Project Executive, Site Supervisor and site workers to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project schedules.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify installation issues, design discrepancies and deviations from approved requirements.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager/Engineer on variation works and technical changes.
• Assist in the preparation, coordination and submission of shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Monitor work progress, workmanship and quality to ensure compliance with project specifications and requirements.
• Implement and comply with relevant company policies, procedures, safety requirements and Quality Management System.
• Perform other project-related duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

Who We Are Looking For

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Candidates with experience in the construction, Electrical or ELV industry will have an added advantage.

Good understanding of Electrical and/or ELV systems and construction site practices.

Experience in project coordination, site supervision or project management is preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of Microsoft Project is an advantage.

Able to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications and project documentation.

Strong problem-solving, analytical and coordination skills.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Able to work independently as well as effectively within a project team.

Responsible, proactive and willing to learn and take on new challenges.
