Job summary

Malaysia Marine & Heavy Engineering seeks a qualified engineer to lead project execution, planning and resource allocation for major oil and gas projects, ensuring schedule adherence, cost control and HSE compliance across the site.

You will coordinate manpower, equipment and materials, monitor progress, manage subcontractor performance, and ensure timely submission of project documents in line with ISO standards and MMHE procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years working experience in Oil & Gas or Onshore/Offshore Plant Industry.

Responsibilities

• Plan production resources (manpower, equipment, material) for assigned projects.
• Monitor and control resource allocation per project requirements.
• Monitor productivity and efficiency within budget.
• Ensure sufficient resources during project execution.
• Prepare JMS, plan LAP, and update daily progress to PMT.
• Develop contingency plans for delays in production activities.
• Monitor and update project documents submission on time.
• Ensure QMS compliance per ISO standards.

Job description

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for project execution, planning, organizing, leading and allocation of department resources utilization, work schedule, procedure, and job execution for assigned project to ensure to meet projects schedule, cost effectiveness, QHSE and compliance to statutory regulations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for planning of production resources (manpower, equipment, material) for assigned by ensuring the utilization of resources are at optimum level.
• Monitor and control the resources allocation for assigned project as per project requirement.
• Monitor, control and update the productivity and efficiency of the resources in project execution within the allocated project and production budget.
• Ensure all resources are sufficient during the project execution as per planned.
• Preparing Job Method Statement (JMS), planning and measure the effectiveness of the look ahead plan (LAP) progressively by updating the daily progress report to Project Management Team.
• To come up with contingency plan for any delay in the project which is related to production activities.
• Monitor and update the submission of project documents in timely manner.
• Monitor the implementation of Quality Management System (QMS) for assigned project to ensure the tasks are performed in compliance with ISO standard and industrial best practice.
• Monitor and control the enforcement of HSE in assigned project and workshop accordance to HSE rules and regulations.
• Identify and request for subcontractors, in consultation with Project Manager and monitor the work execution after appointment of sub-contractors.
• Verify sub-contractors Work Done Report.
• Evaluate sub-contractors (local and specialist) performance appraisal in collaboration with sub-contracting (SCM) to meet MMHE’s required specifications in terms of Quality and Safety Compliance, works schedule and cost effectiveness.
• Identify training needs for team and conduct internal training related to job function to enhance skill and proficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least Bachelor of Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent.
• At least 3-5 years working experience in Oil & Gas or Onshore/Offshore Plant Industry.
